Tibetan monks prayer question...

by Mari
(Sweden)

Hello,

I am now in Dharamsala (McLoed Ganj) and will also participate at the Tushita Meditation Center 10-day Tibetan Buddhist meditation course.

My question:

Which dates do the monks do the puja ceremony (chanting prayers) at 5 o'clock in the morning at the Dalai Lama's main temple.

I heard from some Tibetans that there would be one two days ago and I went there 5 o'clock but there was no ceremony. It would be a gift for me to be able to meditate there during this ceremony.

Kind regards
Mari

Hi Mari,

You should check in the 'Namgyal Monastery Office' at the main temple, just ask any Tibetan where it is when you arrive. There is usually someone there who speaks english. They can tell you when the monks will be there.

Take care,
Patricia from Tibetan Life
