In Tibetan Buddhism, Vajradhara is the primordial buddha, the dharmakaya buddha. Usually depicted as dark blue in color, he expresses the quintessence of buddhahood itself and represents the essence of the historical Buddha's realization of enlightenment.

Vajradhara, or Dorje Chang in the Tibetan script, is shown here with his consort Bhagavani.
